Spencer Karpinsky

I'm Spencer. I live in Louisville, KY, and I've been the kind of person who takes things apart to see how they work for about as long as I can remember. That curiosity eventually turned into a career.

Most of my day is C# microservices, but I also ship front-end and customer-facing changes, and stay close to QA and production support to streamline how we get code out the door and keep it reliable. I like carrying work end to end, from a single-store pilot to a nationwide fleet, and from the API design all the way to the on-call pager. As I grow, I'm leaning deeper into the cloud side of the stack.

Beyond the code

Outside of work I'm a collector and a photographer. I like tracking down things worth keeping, and I almost always have a camera on me. It's the same kind of attention to detail that engineering takes.

I'm deep into investing lately, deep enough that I built a real-time spot-deals tracker that watches 15 different exchanges at once, running on my homelab. Part research edge, part excuse to keep the rack humming.

Wiring AI into how my team ships

I love making AI genuinely useful day to day. I recently built a workflow that turns Teams meeting notes into ADA-formatted Jira stories, so nothing slips through the cracks. Each story pulls straight into your IDE for context while you build, and when you're done, a merge request is auto-created with detailed notes and testing steps.
